True to fit and arrived on time!Unless your work involves a lot of standing in one place, I can't see this as a work shoe. They are too stiff, too uncomfortable. I've already relegated them to the back of my closet since returning them is such a hassle. One last word, I've been wearing Rockport shoes for 40 years. Recent changes to cut production costs have resulted in an inferior product. That's a shame.Steel toe is too narrow for a wide width shoe. Created more problems and blisters than any protection. If I could return them after bring worn, I definitely would.Not soft or comfortable feet hurt.I didnot like them somuch to keep them.What can I say? Rockports are great shoes that I've worn for years. Both work and dress shoes are great, and I now wear a size 15. So glad I found a pair for church.This is a good, comfortable steel-toe casual shoe. The quality is great, the shoe is comfortable, and of course it is a full-fledged safety shoe.The only thing I don't like about this shoe, and it is a huge issue for me hence the three star rating, is that the soles squeak like crazy on any sort of finished floor: waxed tiles, polyurethane-coated wood, etc. That means I'm "that guy" who squeaks when he comes into the room. Not a problem if you're wearing these shoes on a factory floor, but if you're looking for something to wear in both work and casual environments like me it is a problem. I've had these shoes a couple months so this is not a break-in issue.Other reviewers don't like the insoles and said they had them replaced. Personally, I think they're fine. One should note that the shoe box contains a warning that the electrostatic dissipative rating of the shoe depends upon the insoles and that they should not be replaced. If you don't need an ESD shoe, of course that doesn't apply.So, as long as you don't mind being "Mr. Squeaky," I think these are great shoes and would recommend them. If squeaking is an issue for you, look elsewhere: Red Wing has some very nice steel toe casual shoes.They weigh about 1.6 pounds each.The sole is hard and noisy on any floor other than carpetThe laces are about 8 inches too long, maybe more.I have worn Rockport before quite a lot and remembered them for their soft sole and light weight. These are neither but this time I had to have steel toe. So, I kept them and am wearing them 9 hours a day and they're okayProduct is not really a "wide" model; the work shoe is quite narrow especially in the steel toe area.great lasting shoe,last pair i had for 5 yearsComfortable!It is too early to make complete assessment.Great and comfortable shoes, just as expected.
