I've been a machinist for quite a while and the grip on these shoes is 2nd to none. I didn't go scrape my shoes in the parking lot to scuff them up to grip better either, (IYKYK lol) I just put them on and started working.Next most important thing, I have wide feet. Like, I tried several other brands before finding this shoe and this is the only one I found that wasn't $200 and was 4E wide. I just sent them all back. Even triple wides just weren't wide enough to not squeeze my feet. These however, are wonderful. I can splay my toes in these when my feet get tired. Love it!The comfort could be better... I did find myself giving a sigh of relief when I took them off after a 10 hour shift, but that's really not a big deal at all.In this line of work, slip resistance is the biggest thing because you're constantly walking on smooth surfaces with coolant, grease, or oil on them; these shoes performed beyond expectations in that regard.Highly recommend.
