Keen, and for that matter all work shoe producers, please listen up. More and more women are entering industries in which we are required to wear safety shoes. I really like these shoes because 1. They look good. 2. They are not heavy considering they are steel toe. 3. These are the first work shoes that did not eat my feet on my first 12 hour shift. AT ALL! 4. They are reasonably priced. But here's where I get frustrated, there are other features that are readily available in men's work shoes, but you have to compromise in women's. In this case, I went for the brand Keen, while compromising some other things I normally prioritize based on the fact that my current pair of work shoes was coming apart and I knew I was leaving my job soon.1. Where are your composite toed shoes for the ladies? I need to go through metal detectors everyday. Not a huge deal, but in 12 years at my job, it gets a little old taking off my shoes at security or swapping shoes when I arrive to my work area.2. Hard Toe in an ankle boot? (I see your aluminum, but to be honest I had to do homework to see if that was even okay)3. Waterproof/solid leather design. (I realize part of my comfort with these keens is that they are partially breathable, but technically I need to protect my feet from more than crushed toes...)4. A defined heel. Not a defined slope as these Detroit shoes have.My male coworkers never have a hard time finding good shoes to meet our job requirements. I don't expect you to make 65 options for women, like you do on your website for men (versus the women's 14 options), but I do expect that one will meet the requirements for industrial electrical work. See your Men's Davenport, now make a women's equivalent. The Santa Fe boot comes SO close, I really should have bought those.I have skinny feet, this shoe was exactly right for size.
